About Clare

Hi, I’m Clare, a therapist in Lafayette, CO! I am born and raised in Colorado, and my own experience navigating big life shifts—especially becoming a mom—is what pulled me into this work. When I became pregnant, I felt foreign to myself and to my body. After a traumatic birth experience, there were many things that didn’t “go to plan” that when I sought support I was suddenly told “Oh yeah, that’s normal.” I quickly became frustrated with the lack of information mothers are given about what they could experience along with the expectations of “maternal instinct” and to just figure it out. Therapy was a huge part of helping me reconnect with myself when life dropped me into a version of me I didn’t totally recognize. I was given permission to be honest about how I was doing and was given more information about what becoming a mother actually entails. I knew I wanted to offer that same space to others.

Therapy with me is relaxed, real, and very much come as you are. You can show up in sweatpants, wrapped in a blanket, eating a snack, swearing a little (or a lot), laughing, crying, sometimes all in the same session. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. I ask the questions other may be too afraid to ask, I challenge when needed, and provide context into what you may be experiencing.

I use evidence-based approaches like ACT, EMDR, DBT, and IFS, but I don’t do cookie-cutter therapy. Everything is tailored to you. My style is calm, supportive, collaborative, and gently challenging when it’s helpful. We’ll slow things down, notice patterns that aren’t serving you anymore, and build insight and real change without pressure to be “fixed.”

The heart of my work is creating a compassionate, trauma-informed space where women can explore identity, process past experiences, and move through life transitions with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust while still being fully human along the way.
